July 2010 PCA

When Will Clubs Get Back to Business..? A club executive in attendance at the recent National Club Conference may have been speaking for many of his fellow club leaders when he said he is still spending too much time dealing with the economy rather than concentrating on the business of running the club. So when will club executives be able to return their focus to strategic and long-range planning rather than investing so much of their time in daily challenges brought on by declining revenues and memberships?

Statistics offered up by a research specialist with the National Restaurant Association (NRA) gave those at the conference a glimmer of hope that clubs might soon be back to more traditional business.

Other Topics Covered in the July 2010 PCA…

  • Could “Frugality Fatigue” be a good thing?
  • Preparing the office and the team for an IRS audit.
  • Club milestone celebrations can strengthen membership.
  • Feedback on managing past due member accounts.
  • Financial strength from within the membership.
